Grab a peppermint hot chocolate and come on in for a 2024 Christmas Home Tour! 🎄🏠✨
For the Christmas decor this year, I used decor pieces that I already had. Some areas of the home were nostalgic where I used Christmas decor pieces from loved ones. A lot of the decor this year was decorated pretty much the same as Christmases past or I would switch out an item or two to change it up a bit. 🎄
Creating Nostalgic Christmas Decor and Memories
Part of the nostalgia of Christmas is pulling out pieces from your childhood and decor that reminds you of loved ones. The memories of happy Christmases that a piece brings. That’s what Christmas memories are all about. It’s the same Christmas decor put up each year – in the exact same spot. Using the same decor each year brings back memories of Christmases past. The Christmas traditions your family does each year. ❤️The smell of fresh cinnamon rolls and sausage balls baking in the oven on Christmas morning. That’s what truly makes the holidays so special each year. So over on my social media handles, I really tried to create that feeling this year for Christmas. My hope was to inspire you to decorate your homes for Christmas using the decor pieces you already had. Because over here on my little corner of the internet, I’m not one to make you feel like you’ve gotta keep up with the trends. ❤️
Christmas Living Room + Mantle Decor
The living room is the area we spend the most time in together. So this space was the first area to be decorated. I went with a vintage inspired poinsettia theme again this year. A few of the poinsettias in this decor belonged to my Memaw and that’s really how the poinsetta theme came to be. I’ve added some poinsettia pieces here over the years. To make the decor feel a little different this year, I used an extra large wreath that I thrifted several years ago as the anchor piece of the mantel.🎄
I used cheap Christmas garlands as the base of the mantel and the lights around the garland. Then I placed the poinsettias on top of the garland which really helped to make this area look vintage and timeless. 🌹To make the cheap artificial garland look fuller, I took tree clippings from the tree lot {the clippings are free!} and nestled the clippings into the garland. 🌿The tree clippings will last all season long and it really helps to elevate those cheap artificial Christmas garlands you have and will leave your house smelling like Christmas.🎄
Here is what the mantel looked like after I added the tree clippings! You can tell that it looks fuller!🌿✨
I vlogged all of this over on my YouTube channel and I’ll link each video below. Head on over and check it out and please subscribe to my channel while you’re over there!

Christmas Kitchen Decor
For the kitchen this year, I wanted it to feel like Mrs. Claus’ Christmas Kitchen. I wanted it to feel like warm Christmas cookies that she has baked for Santa Claus after arriving back to the North Pole on Christmas Eve. I wanted it to feel like a Hallmark Christmas movie. And I think I achieved that goal! 🎅🏼🎄🤶🏼
Some of the gingerbread decor are pieces my husband’s aunt sent us on one of our first Christmases together. They were pieces she once put up each year, and a special memory my husband has of Christmases growing up. ❤️The mini Christmas wreaths really helped to pull the decor together. I tied red satin ribbon around each wreath and used Command Hooks to hang them with.
The garlands above the kitchen cabinets were adorned with red ornaments, gingerbread men and ribbon. On the floating shelves, vintage Santa mugs and gingerbread mugs and decor pulled this area together.

Elegant Christmas Tablescape
This Christmas tablescape is truly one of my favorite tablescapes that I’ve created. The vintage holly hurricane votives were my Memaw’s. As soon as I pulled them out this year, I knew I wanted to do something very special with them and that’s how this tablescape was created! ❤️
I placed a wreath into the center of the table and adorned it with gold beads and ornaments. The star of the tablescape was the vintage holly hurricane votives that I placed inside the wreath. Then I filled each votive with water and added faux cranberries and floating candles inside each one.
These beautiful scallop plates and bowls with gold trim were an early Christmas present from my husband. He knew I would use these for not only everyday meals, but that I could use them for special holiday tables and dinner parties, too. They were from Marshall’s this season – so you may still be able to find them in the stores!
Holly Champagne Glasses
Next, the holly champagne glasses are my parents’ and my Momma let me borrow them just for this tablescape! My Momma said they were a part of an Arby’s promo many years ago – they had to go eat there a whole lot just to get the collector Christmas glasses. And I’m glad they did, because we have used these beautiful Christmas glasses for as long as I can remember. ✨Why don’t places do promos like that anymore? Where you buy a combo meal and get a fancy holiday glass along with it? I know I’d be all about that and eat there until I reached my collector’s goal and we got tired of eating there!🎄
Finally, I used green linen napkins and put together a Christmas tree napkin fold. It looks fancy, but it’s so easy to create. I shared how to do that over on my YouTube channel.

🎄And with that, the 2024 Christmas season comes to an end. 🎄Christmas came fast this year and I didn’t feel like I had enough time to enjoy all the lights and Christmas decor. Because Thanksgiving was late this year, it felt like we were rushed and had so many things to check off the lists. So, I’ll be enjoying my Christmas decor for just a little longer.
Thanks for stopping by the 2024 Christmas Home Tour! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas, sweet friends! Wishing you a Happy New Year and I’ll see you soon!✨
