2020. The one were they were quarantined. The one year they’ll always remember. 2020 was a year like no other and we are living through a time in history that future generations will study about in school. One day I’ll tell my grandchildren what life was like in 2020 during a worldwide pandemic. Perhaps this little corner of the internet will still be around, and I can even share with them my favorite blog posts of 2020 that I created in quarantine!
Quarantine. Social distancing. The toilet paper shortage. Riots. Schools, restaurants and businesses closed. Uncertainty. Fear. Loss. May we never forget the millions of people that lost their lives from their virus. I knew several of them.
2020 also brought us the return of tie dye, bleach dyed sweatsuits, Zoom calls and then there were the murder hornets. And who could forget about Tiger King? Actually, I never watched the show but I know enough to know all about it.
I’ll also remember this year as one where amazing things happened for my blog. Like the time when the one and only Joanna liked one of my photos on Instagram during quarantine! Yep. That was the highlight of my year! It was a year of growth, some hurdles and a new vision for Sweet Southern Oaks. There were lots of projects and DIYs happening during quarantine. So let’s countdown my favorite blog posts of 2020!
