Hello everyone and welcome to my Spring Home Tour 2020. This post is actually part of a big blog hop with five other inspiring bloggers who are sharing their beautiful home tours!
If you are coming over from my friend Jen’s blog at An Inspiring Home, welcome! I just love her beautiful home! At the end of this post, I’ll be directing you to the next stop on our Spring Home Tour – there’s a total of six amazingly talented bloggers, and I hope you’ll visit each of them to get a ton of spring inspiration! Thanks so much to Janice at Our Perfecting Manor for organizing this blog hop!
Spring Home Tour – Living Room
I had a vision of cascading lilacs and a few pops of purple in the living room. Lilacs, I’ve decided, are my new favorite flower! There’s tons of wild lilacs that are growing along the route to work and they are just gorgeous! I’m thinking I may need to stop and cut a few lilacs soon! This antique stained glass window came out of a historic, 1880s church in Atlanta. It’s one of my favorite antique pieces – just imagine the history behind it! First, I used the stained glass window as my anchor piece and then used two small Command Hooks on the top of the mantel to keep the lilac garland in place.
A couple of vintage purple and blue bottles are used as a filler on either side of the window. I had a few lilac stems from the dollar store that I filled into my Rae Dunn pots on the coffee table (which was a find at The World’s Longest Yard Sale several years ago!) If you’re looking for more mantel ideas for Spring, check out my Layered Window Spring Mantel from last year using greenery, terracotta pots and Rae Dunn.
Spring Home Tour – Bedroom
I added a few simple Spring touches to our bedroom. These are the doors from our wedding that we used as an altar and we turned them into a headboard! I draped the flower garland over the headboard and the vintage floral prints were an antique find last year and they are hanging by Command Hooks. I did an entire Spring bedroom refresh a few weeks ago with a little cleaning and organizing!
Spring Home Tour – Dining Room
For the dining room, I just wanted to keep it simple. I put together a spring centerpiece with succulents. For each table setting, I used my new rattan chargers from Target and my blue Pioneer Women plates. Simple and done in the dining room!
Spring Home Tour – Front Porch
The front porch got a little bit of spring decorating, too! A few flowers in the hanging baskets and some ferns are sure to welcome in Spring! This vintage door was a pickin’ find a few years ago and I hung this forsythia wreath on it to tie in the yellow! The door color is Sherwin Williams Decisive Yellow.
