It’s been awhile since I shared a centerpiece with you. The warmer weather over the weekend inspired me to continue decorating for Spring and with that, a simple spring succulent centerpiece was created! Today I’m sharing a few tricks to create layers within your centerpiece.
Being a blogger, I’m always planning content to share with you. I’ve got my planner and a notebook that I use for ideas to share with you in the future. This spring centerpiece wasn’t planned – but a beautiful idea that quickly came together over the weekend. I knew I had to share it with you because it is a simply stunning spring succulent centerpiece indeed! For your convenience, this post may contain affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Spring Centerpiece Materials:
I already had everything you see in this centerpiece – I just collected some materials that felt like Spring to me and got to work. The materials I used were a vintage doughbowl, a variety of terracotta pots, moss and a rustic twig wreath from the dollar store, eucalyptus garland and faux succulents from the craft store.
Shop the Succulents:
- String of Pearls {2}
- Purple Aloe {2}
- Purple Succulent {Similar One}
- Bonus – I love this greenery variety pack of succulents
TIP: If you don’t have a doughbowl, you could use a long tray for your centerpiece, a large bowl or even a long platter could be used instead. Faux spring flowers instead of succulents would look gorgeous in a spring centerpiece, too!
Putting Together a Simple Spring Succulent Centerpiece
I layered the vintage doughbowl with a scrap of burlap which helps to start the layered look in the centerpiece. Next, I folded the eucalyptus garland in half and layed it around the perimeter of the doughbowl. I placed two of the succulents into the larger terracotta pots and added a little moss on top. The rustic twig wreath adds dimension and an extra layer into the centerpiece. I placed the wreath near the back of the doughbowl and leaned the larger terracotta pot against it to keep the wreath from falling over.
The mini terracotta pots are super cute {I got mine from the dollar store and they came in a pack of three}. I placed the terracotta pots in groups of two around the center of the doughbowl. I wanted the pots to kind of lean and stack on top of each other. From there, I added the other succulents (the purple one and the greenery strands) into the doughbowl where there were blank spots. Finally, I fluffed some of the eucalyptus garland in the centerpiece until I liked the way it looked.
That’s it – I told you it was a simple centerpiece to put together! I personally really love the dimension and layers within this Spring centerpiece – the layers really draw your eye in. Did this simple spring succulent centerpiece inspire you to create something similar for the season?
