Roses are red,
Violets are blue.
A simple Valentine’s Day mantel just for you.
Valentine’s Day is near so I thought I’d share a simple mantel I put together. I needed a little bit of twinkle after Christmas, so I kept out a strand of icicle lights to create this Valentine’s Day mantel. However, you can create something similar without the lights! I kept it simple this time with just a few pops of pink and white. Let’s put the mantel together.
For the base of the mantel, I layered three vintage windows. The vintage windows have made an appearance on the blog with the spring mantel and patriotic mantel already. I just love architectural salvage and had visions of twinkling lights for a romantic look – so back to the vintage windows I went! The icicle lights are hung behind the windows and tape is holding some of the strands in place.
To add a little height, I leaned pink and white yarn wrapped XO letters against the windows – which is a DIY from the early stages of the blog. 😉 However, it’s always fun to see how much this blog and my photography skills have grown. Plus I love that even now Mr. Sweet Southern Oaks is helping me behind the scenes with all the ideas I share with you. <3
For the final part of the Valentine’s Day mantel, I added thrifted blush vases that we actually used at our wedding! I clipped pink English Tea Roses and white flowers to add into each vase.
That’s it – a simple, Romantical Mantel for Valentine’s Day! Yes,”romantical” – it’s not a typo. I made up the word and I’m going to use it all the time now! 😉 To clarify, something that is a cross between romantic and magical is “romantical” to me.
Happy Valentine’s Day, sweet friends! I hope that no matter what your circumstances may be this Valentine’s Day, that you know you are loved.
