You guys, I made these Reese’s Peeps skillet s’mores and let me tell ya….
It’s just like it sounds: an ooey and gooey, chocolatey and melty neon marshmallow delight.
After this, I don’t think I can go back to regular s’mores again. Reese’s Peeps Skillet S’mores forever at my house…. so it’s a good thing they make Peeps for all the holidays now!
Growing up, Peeps were always in our Easter basket. So it’s not Easter until I’ve eaten those neon, sugary marshmallow delights! I mean anything that’s a neon marshmallow full of sugar, that’s delicious in my book.
Hubby though…he’s not so much a fan of Peeps. He was skeptical about the chocolate peanut butter Peeps skillet s’mores. A little hesitant, he tried it…
And now?
Now he’s a believer in Peep s’mores… especially Reese’s Peeps Skillet S’mores.
I mean it’s Reese’s AND s’mores. You’re gonna want more.
Reese’s Peeps Skillet S’mores Ingredients
What sets these Peeps s’mores apart from the other recipes floating around the internet, is that I used Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Most of the recipes call for chocolate chips and peanut butter. I decided to use Reese’s instead, because I always have a secret stash on hand at the house. 😉 AND then I took it one step further… and added a dollop of peanut butter on top of the Reese’s. Even more gooey, melty, chocolatey peanut butter goodness, y’all!
You’ll want to make sure you use an oven safe skillet to make these Reese’s Peeps Skillet S’mores because you’re going to broil them for a minute or two. If you don’t have an oven safe skillet, you could always use a glass pie pan.
Together we devoured the whole skillet of s’mores while watching a movie. That’s a fun date night in! I’m pretty sure this is a new family favorite that will become an Easter tradition together.
Adding this to our little family tradition of Easter Tacos… tacos and s’mores.
Reese's Peeps Skillet S'mores
Ingredients
- 6-8 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups unwrapped
- 2 tbsp Peanut Butter
- 1 package Peeps if you want them to be different colors, you'll need 2-3 packs of Peeps
- 10- 15 graham crackers for serving
Instructions
- Layer the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups at the bottom of an oven safe skillet. I used a cast iron skillet for this. If you don't have an oven safe skillet, you could use a pie plate.
- Place the peanut butter on top of the Reese's and use a knife to smooth it out.
- Arrange the Peeps on top of the peanut butter mixture. If you want to use different colors like I did, you will need to buy 2-3 packages of Peeps. If you don't want to do that, you can just use one color of the Peeps.
- Turn the oven onto broil and place the oven proof skillet into the oven for 1-2 minutes. Watch them carefully so they do not burn. The timing can vary depending on your oven. Mine took about 3 minutes under the broiler.
- Serve immediately with graham crackers, as s'mores are best served when warm.
