It’s confession time and we’re about to become BFFs forever, ok? Have I told you about my Monica Closet? It’s a hot mess, which is why I’m finally going to tackle the Monica Closet and turn it into a guest room for the $100 Room Challenge this month!
What is a Monica Closet?
If you watch “Friends” then you probably already get the reference. Right now you may be picturing the scene where an OCD Monica Geller has a secret closet that’s messy! One day Chandler discovers the secret closet and Monica is upset he opened the locked closet. 😉 Haha I’m laughing right now. Hands down, the best episode!
Anyway, my Monica Closet isn’t just a closet, it’s an entire room of stuff. My secret room that’s forbidden to anyone to enter and some items are put away, never to be seen again. Many moons ago, I use to be a teacher and I have lots of things from my classroom in that room. Now I’m a home decor blogger and I’m constantly changing things up at the house. If I can’t find it, I can guarantee that it’s probably somewhere in the Monica Closet.

Now, I took these pictures before Christmas. The signs in the front of the room came down to decorate for Christmas, along with some of my other decorations and there’s presents. But like I said, it’s still a hot mess.
The Biggest Challenge Yet
I told you… Now you can see why this is my biggest project to date and why I’ve been putting it off. It’s time, y’all. Time to turn this room into what it should be: a guest room. Perhaps even a sweet nursery one day. This month, I hope you’ll follow along on the next $100 Room Challenge as I clean out the Monica Closet, get the room organized and turn it into a real guest bedroom!

Okay… I am so excited to see this challenge unfold! I absolutely love seeing messy spaces get all neat and organized! Also, you have some AMAZING treasures in that closet. I’m pretty sure I’m seeing printer trays and vintage wood Coke crates… I should come shop your closet 🙂
Oh yes! There are a lot of vintage treasures in that closet! Some of those items are usually in my decor, but I took it down for Christmas. Other things I get out {when I can find it!} 😉 Come on over and shop! 🙂
