My home decor for late summer incorporates lots of greenery and lemons! Something about the lemon yellow mantel feels so fresh and summery. I’m soaking up the last bit of summer with this lemon decor and I love the happy pop of yellow.
I guess yellow must have been my pop of color this summer since I used it on my porch, my dining room lemon centerpiece and now for this lemon yellow mantel! This summer mantel can be easy to put together and you can buy all of the supplies at your local craft size. I have an awkward mantel, it’s really skinny, so it can get kind of tricky to decorate. Not just anything will fit so I have to play with my decor to make things fit on the mantel. Which became a problem when I started decorating this lemon yellow mantel. I had a garland of baby eucalyptus, lemons and the forsythia wreath and flowers (I got on clearance last season!). So I decided to see what I could create.
First, I hung the forsythia wreath above the mantel to tie into my summery, lemon yellow theme. Then I draped the baby eucalyptus garland down the middle of my mantel. I fluffed the greenery and then nestled lemons around the greenery garland. I had picked up some forsythia flowers at Hobby Lobby and decided they would add the perfect pop of color to this lemon yellow mantel. I used my floral cutters to cut off the yellow forsythia flowers and then arranged them around the lemons and greenery. I placed some of the flowers on top of the greenery and nestled other parts until I was happy with the arrangement. I decided it needed some height, so I added some candlesticks because that was the only thing that would work on the skinny mantel and then my summer lemon yellow mantel was complete.
Are you like me and already thinking about your fall decor or are you trying to soak up the last bit of summer? Either way, this lemon yellow mantel definitely helps to enjoy the last bit of summer!
