I’m so excited to reveal our new chandeliers we got for the living room and dining room! The new light fixtures add the elegance these rooms were lacking. The best part is that I got each light fixture on Amazon for under $200.00! Sometimes all it takes is new lighting to transform a room, and that’s exactly what these beautiful chandeliers did for our rooms!
I bought both chandeliers from a previous blog post, 10 Light Fixtures Under $200.00 on Amazon that you can find HERE. I kept hinting to Mr. Southern Oaks that I wanted new light fixtures, and the ones I liked best, so that’s exactly what he got me for Christmas. He just gets me. 😉 This post may contain affiliate links at no extra cost to you. Check out my full disclosure policy. Thanks for supporting Sweet Southern Oaks!
Today I’m sharing the new chandelier in the dining room, and I’m loving the beauty of this light! Check out the light fixture in our living room HERE.
Dining Room Light Fixture Reveal
I should have gotten a picture of the light that was in here before! It was one of the those builder grade lights that I just didn’t like. No matter how I styled my tablescapes, the light in here wasn’t pretty! I went to great lengths to hide the light in here during photo shoots! 🙂 Ok, it just wasn’t my style and what I thought the dining room should boast. I’m so glad we finally changed the light fixture because it has made all the difference! I can’t wait to have a dinner party in our dining room now that we have a new light fixture!
I picked the Murano Venetian Style Crystal Chandelier. The chandelier has real crystals, not plastic ones, and I like the simplicity of this light fixture. It adds simple elegance to my dining room, which is what was missing from this space. Don’t tell Mr. Southern Oaks, but I’m thinking about adding two smaller chandeliers on either side of this one to elongate our table! What do you think of that idea? That’s what I call “if you give a designer a chandy….” well, she’ll keep designing new things and want to keep putting up new chandeliers everywhere! 😉
Remember when hanging the light fixture that a chandelier should hang 30-34 inches above the table. This chandelier was like putting a puzzle together, and the directions weren’t clear on hanging the crystals! However, it was worth putting the puzzle together in the end!
What do you think of the new light fixture in the dining room? Which chandelier is your favorite: the one in the living room or dining room?
