Show your sweetheart how much you love them with Valentine Puppy Chow! This is a no-bake treat that you can make in under 30 minutes!
Puppy chow {or Muddy Buddies as some people call it} is a favorite of Mr. Sweet Southern Oaks. Honestly, I’d never tried puppy chow until we met; but I do prefer the homemade kind over store bought any day! Puppy chow is my go to item to bring to a party because it’s a no bake dessert, easy to make and customizable for every holiday. Everyone loves the crispy, crunchy delicious sweet treat. You can’t eat just one bite. You’re going to want to eat a whole bowl – it’s that good. In fact, I’m eating this delicious stuff right now as I edit these photos! 🤣
After the photo shoot, I had to send half of it over to my bestie. Mr. Sweet Southern Oaks is eating all healthy these days, and well, I can’t be left with a whole bag of this stuff by myself. I’d eat it all in one setting. So all that to say, you need to put this Valentine Puppy Chow on your must make recipes like, now! 😉
That’s why Valentine puppy chow always make an appearance this time of the year. It’s perfect for a Galentine’s party, to take to work or a class party, and of course your sweetheart. I’m pretty sure you’ll like it, too. After all, it is approved by Mr. Sweet Southern Oaks.
Valentine's Day Puppy Chow
Ingredients
- 1 Box Chex Mix Cereal
- 1 Bag Wilton Pink Candy Melts
- 1 Bag Wilton Red Candy Melts
- 1 Bag Valentine M&M's
- 2 Cups Powdered Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Valentine Sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Divide the Chex Cereal into two separate bowls and set aside.
- Pour the Pink Candy Melts into a microwavable bowl. Then pour the Red Candy Melts into a separate microwavable bowl.

- Add powdered sugar to a Ziplock freezer bag, then add in the pink and red coated cereal. Shake the bag until the cereal is coated in the powder sugar.
- Add in the M&M's and Valentine sprinkles.
- This cereal will last up to two weeks in an air tight container - if it lasts that long!
