When I think about a New Year’s Eve tablescape, I think metallics. Pops of silver and gold with Rae Dunn and vintage pieces make for the perfect New Year’s Eve tablescape.
You probably recognize my gold chargers and vintage gold china from my Thanksgiving tablescape. As soon as I started this tablescape, I thought “oh, I bought these cute crystal plates at the thrift store right before Christmas, I’ll use those.” Well, I forgot that I talked myself out of buying the plates and I looked everywhere for where I had put them…so then I was kicking myself for not buying the plates. I mean they were like 50 cents, why in the world did I talk myself out of them?! So next time, I will not talk myself out of 50 cent plates at the thrift store.
Alas, I had to resort to my gold plates that I’ve already photographed; because I didn’t like any of my other plates for this tablescape after I had my vision with the crystal clear plates… that I forgot to buy! Always buy the plates, people, learn from my mistake!
My favorite part of this tablescape are my new Rae Dunn stemless glasses and mini cake stand that hubby gave me for Christmas. I love Rae Dunn, and the large letter line will always be my favorite. However, her new glassware line is pretty cool, too, and a lot easier to find {at least for now 😉 ). I just knew the stemless glasses would be the perfect festive touch for New Year’s Eve with the gold letters!
I had silver and gold ornaments on one of our Christmas trees, and I just used the ornaments I already had to fill the vases for a quick and simple centerpiece. Since I already had the vases and ornaments, it didn’t cost me anything to create this tablescape. The gold ornaments that say “Cheer” came in a pack of ornaments from Hobby Lobby.
