Grab a cup of coffee, and take a look around on a festive Christmas home tour!
Christmas is almost here, can you believe it? It seems like just a few months ago that we were taking down last year’s Christmas decorations. Since we’re still in the process of working on home updates, some areas just didn’t Christmasy (is that a word?) this year, but I’ll show you a few areas that got some Christmas cheer!
Christmas Home Tour: Snow (December 8, 2017)
The Christmas snow was so unexpected and the perfect treat to get in the holiday spirit. I woke up to a blanket of sparkling snow and snowflakes were falling all around. It was a magical day down South with snow, and I’m so glad that I thought to take some pictures of our winter wonderland!

Christmas Home Tour: Living Room
Our 7 foot Christmas tree is the biggest tree we’ve ever had! Isn’t she gorgeous?! I named her Gertrude (because I’m a nerd and each year I name every Christmas tree and all the pumpkins.) Our tree may not be one that will ever make the cover a magazine but in my eyes it’s perfect! The hodgepodge of ornaments on our tree tells the story of adventures and milestones we’ve had together. Ornaments from our engagement, our first Christmas, vacations and memories of beloved pets that have since passed away. It’s a tree with special memories that we remember together when decorating. P.S: Louella Mae loves laying right there and will gaze at the Christmas tree for hours, then go drink some water from the tree stand!
The porcelain Christmas tree is one of my favorite decorations! My Memaw gave it to me a few years back when she stopped decorating for Christmas. I remember always loving it in her house; and then when I was in college I would help her get it down. It would be the only Christmas decoration she would put out.
Christmas Home Tour: Fireplace
If you haven’t noticed, I collect a lot of things: vintage china, milk glass, vintage copper, Rae Dunn… a lot of things make my heart happy. That’s the case of these little white Christmas village houses. I found a few last year and started my collection, and man did they explode on Instagram this year! I found them at Target in the dollar section for $3.00 each (give me all the white Christmas village houses at that price, mmmkay?). I love the simplicity of them with a strand of garland and lights. The Noel sign was from Michael’s last year.
