This traditional Christmas tablescape embraces the true meaning of the season, decorated with family heirlooms and cherished memories.
The antique tablecloth belonged to my Great Grandma Pearla and it’s tattered and stained. It tells the memories of many happy Christmases past; the dinners and conversations it’s seen over the years.
For the centerpiece I placed a reindeer that my hubby and I found out pickin’ right after we got engaged. I placed a thrifted Christmas wreath around the reindeer for an interesting added texture. I had some burlap ribbon and some thrifted ornaments to put inside of the reindeer for an added pop of color and Christmas cheer.
I found these gorgeous wooden chargers from the dollar spot at Target at the beginning of the season! They are wood burned, and were a steal for $3.00 a charger. The chargers were just what I needed for my Christmas tablescape. I wanted to make sure the “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” quote would be seen on my Christmas tablescape; so I bought some Chinet clear plates to use. That makes for an easy clean up after the Christmas feast!
Finally, these antique bubble glasses add the finishing touch to the Christmas tablescape. There you have it, a simple and casual tablescape full of Christmas memories! I hope you “have yourself a merry little Christmas”. So tell me, do you have a special Christmas family heirloom you put out each year?
